Our
mission
The Greater Columbus Community Orchestra is dedicated to the enhanced appreciation and understanding of orchestral music in Central Ohio and the surrounding communities.
To that end, GCCO provides an open door opportunity for musicians (amateur, retired, professional or semi-professional) of all backgrounds to learn and perform orchestral music through lighthearted and educational concerts that support musicians’ self-potential and opportunities for growth.
All performances are free and open to the public.

Welcome to another exciting season of live orchestral music! As we prepare to embark on this musical journey together, I am thrilled to share with you the diverse and inspiring repertoire we have in store, as well as our commitment to enriching our community’s appreciation of the arts.
This season, we have created a program that celebrates the rich tapestry of musical expression, featuring a wide range of styles, genres, and composers. From beloved classics to thrilling contemporary works, each concert promises to captivate and enchant audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Our repertoire reflects the incredible diversity of our community, showcasing music from around the world and across centuries.
In addition to showcasing established masterpieces, we are proud to present several new music commissions that highlight the talents of Ohio composers. These fresh and innovative works not only push the boundaries of orchestral music but also provide a platform for new voices to be heard. We are excited to share these world premieres with you and to contribute to the ongoing evolution of the orchestral repertoire.
